I cried so much while reading your sweet note. I am the Mom of a 19 month old SMA Type 1 and your letter touched me. You are right – SMA is a cruel, horrible disease. No child or parent should have to go through what you have been through and continue to go through. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am an Octengenarian and have suffered the loss of a husband and two grown children……I am living my life with my animals and gardens but I don’t trust myself without an anti-depressant…..I laugh and read and keep up with world affairs…well versed in the computer…as well as the ever-present housework. I have three grandchildren and one daughter…I rarely have tears.

Reading this today, I did.
God has given Audra a supreme telent with words.
She uses them effectively to fight SMA disease. God Bless.
