I never had a holiday without a child. Chloe died Feb 2009, and by May of 2009, we had Lydia. So that Fall was full- sort of. Empty in one way and full in another. I am trying to imagine that for you. Empty arms and a holiday stretching out before you. Must have been almost unbearable. I am so happy that Lucy is making you aware of the life you have left to live. The joy in it still. And how you now understand that Andy wants this for you. He hurts so much when you hurt- because he's the one who is really ok. I selfishly long for Chloe right now, too. I dread opening some of the boxes. Her ornaments, pictures, stocking, etc. are all in there. It will take some tears and strength to do it.
I am so glad to call you my friend. You show so much strength and grace. Above all, honesty. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving. I bet Lucy likes sweet potatoes! =)
Love,
Corinne

Well said, my brave and beautiful daughter. You were chosen to care for an angel. I have no doubt that you and Alan were chosen by God for this special assignment. Dad and I are so very proud of both you and Alan for your selflessness in caring for Andy. Lucy will reap the benefits of your
your patience, kindness, and love which you both have in such abundance.
Angel Andy will always be with us. We are all so thankful for the gift of Lucy Catherine this Thanksgiving.
All our love,
Mom amd Dad
